Learn more about our commitment to a sustainable future

With the publication of our first sustainability report for fiscal year 2025, we are sending a clear signal of transparency and responsible conduct. Although we are not currently subject to CSRD reporting requirements, we have made a conscious decision to report on a voluntary basis.
The report provides an overview of our activities in the areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and documents the progress of our group-wide sustainability strategy. It shows how we are systematically embedding sustainability within our company and continuously advancing it.

Our Sustainability Activities Include

Tree Planting for Customer Feedback

Customer satisfaction is a top priority. Insights gathered from feedback are continuously integrated into the development of our solutions and services, reinforcing our position as a customer-focused partner. But there’s more. For every completed Customer Satisfaction Survey, we plant trees worth €5 in the HIMA Group Forest, in collaboration with Tree-Nation.

This initiative supports global reforestation efforts and reflects our corporate values as well as our growing commitment to decarbonisation and sustainability.

Sustainability Initiatives and Certifications Continuous improvement starts with understanding where we stand. Through initiatives such as KLIMAfit, we work alongside other organisations to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts and further develop our sustainability activities. Independent assessments like EcoVadis provide an external perspective on our sustainability performance and help us identify areas for continued development.
Internal Projects and Campaigns

Sustainability is supported through a range of initiatives across the HIMA Group. A global CSRD project team helps establish a common approach to sustainability reporting and governance. Sustainable site and trade fair concepts are being developed to reduce environmental impacts at events and locations. Employee engagement is encouraged through initiatives such as the Next Level Awards, global idea campaigns, and the LevelX Camp, which provides a platform for exchanging ideas and developing sustainable innovations.

BEE SAFE

Commitment to Regional Biodiversity

At our Brühl site, we maintain our own beehives in cooperation with local beekeeper Jörg Staffel. Our employees chose the name for the bee colony themselves: the queen is called “HIMaya.” The harvested honey is used locally and supports regional biodiversity.

Sustainability Across the HIMA Group

Environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices are shared goals throughout the HIMA Group. Our group companies, Sella Controls in the UK and Origo Solutions in Norway, are actively addressing sustainability in their respective industries and regions. Both companies focus on practical measures such as emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and long-term environmental impact. Their approaches reflect the local context and regulatory environments they operate in, while aligning with the broader values of the HIMA Group.
